ViaBlue NF-S2 is a high-end balanced signal cable with XLR connector for error-free transmission of digital sound, thanks to a twisted pair construction with both signal conductors and screen in silver-plated copper. The cable has a specific resistance of 110 ohms and meets both AES/EBU and DMX512 standards.

The NF-S2 is symmetrically constructed with two 0.5 mm2 signal conductors, each consisting of 19 tinned single conductors in ultra-pure copper in polyethylene insulation. These are twisted together (twisted pair) for the best possible transfer of balanced signals. Two PVC insulators fill the space towards the screen.

The screen in the NF-S2 Silver Digital XLR consists of an inner ALU-PETP foil screen and an external spiral screen twisted from 0.15 mm thin silver-plated copper conductors. A protective felt foil lies between the spiral screen and the outer insulation.

The balanced NF-S2 digital cable comes fully terminated with ViaBlue’s T6s XLR connector with 24 carat gold-plated contacts in solid bronze and a strong aluminum chassis for a safe and sound-optimal connection. The NF-S2 measures 8mm in diameter.
